The M1 Carbine is a carbine featured in Insurgency. A relatively compact weapon firing the medium-power .30 US Carbine round, the M1 Carbine was designed in the early 1940s to fill the role of a small, light and accurate firearm for vehicle crews and soldiers with more specialized training, many of whom found the full-size M1 Garand too bulky.
Six million M1 carbines were manufactured during WWII, making it the most widely-produced American small arm of the war. A number of these weapons have found their way into the hands of soldiers and insurgents throughout the world.
Insurgency
The M1 Carbine is a semi-automatic carbine featured in Insurgency. It is available to the Insurgent forces. It has a 15 round magazine, moderate recoil, and moderate damage.

Trivia
- The M1 fills the role of semi-automatic Specialist rifle previously held by the FN FAL in Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat.
- The M1 uses a scout mount rail for attaching optics, meaning optics are placed near the barrel of the gun.
